Shearer Put In His Place

Newcastle chief executive Derek Llambias has lashed out at Toon legend Alan Shearer over his criticism of the club after the sale of Andy Carroll. Shearer had said it was "staggering" that the club hadn't brought in a replacement for the hit man. Llambias responded "Do I care what Alan Shearer has to say? When he ran this football club in 2009 we were relegated after picking up just five points from his eight games in charge."

As of yet Shearer has not replied.

  2. It was a last minute sale, of course we got no one to replace Carroll because the intention was not to sell him, unless the price was >30million and for a player that played 1/2 season at the top flight, that a good deal, if you ask me.
