Gerrard Facing Lengthy Lay Off

Fabio Capello is today facing the wrath of Liverpool Football Club after breaking a promise to limit captain Steven Gerrard's involvment in last nights friendly defeat to 60 minutes. Gerrard eventually hobbled off in the 84th minute with a hamstring injury meaning he could be out for anywhere up to six weeks depending on the severity. Roy Hodgson is sure to be furious at losing his star player given his sides stuttering start to the campaign.
