5 Star Berbatov

Dimitar Berbatov answered his critics in style today at Old Trafford with a 5 star performance. Berbatov recently has had to listen to the media sniping again as he had not hit the target since his hat trick against Liverpool. Today he helped himself to 5 against the hapless Blackburn.
Up until today the moniker "Berbaflop" was back in the red-tops. The lanquid Bulgarian put paid to that for now with a fantastic all round performance. He was helped by his teammates who to a man played brilliantly. If the talk recently of the gap between the haves and have-nots closing had given Blackburn hope coming to Manchester, that hope was dashed after barely a minute when Berbatov helped himself to his first.
Rooney showed some lovely touches but cut a frustrated figure as he failed to find the net. However his song was sung more than once by the Old Trafford faithful to show that bridges are being mended.
This was an ominous performance by United, they are on top of the league have wiped away Chelsea's goal difference and really looked fluid today. Rafael was immense and surely now John O Sheas time as 1st choice right back is over as the young Brazilian really looked assured going forward and defending today. Anderson looked impressive today and maybe he has finally grasped that there is not an unlimited amount of chances one gets at Old Trafford. On another positive note for United Tom Cleverly was by far Wigans best performer today against West Ham, scoring a lovely goal and also winning a penalty that was dreadfully missed by Boselli.
All in all it was a very satisfying day for Alex Ferguson's men and ominous for their top 4 rivals.
