German newspaper Das Bild are claiming that Sir Alex Ferguson has had his scouts track the progress of 18 year old playmaker Mario Gotze. The youngster has become a regular first team member this season and has helped his side open up a ten point gap at the top of the Bundesliga. United are not the only club thought to be monitoring his progress as Inter Milan and Juventus keenly watch his every move. With four goals and a string of superb performances under his belt the teenagers price has rocket to £20m and with Scholes nearing the end of his career Fergie sees him as an ideal replacement.
