Liverpool are stepping up their interest in Dutch attacking midfielder Gergino Wijnaldum by sending scouts to watch his every move. Representatives of the clubs scouting network have been present for his most recent set of fixtures. He'll have to improve his performances if he wants to impress as although very highly rated a recent dip in form has coincided with the arrival of the clubs scouts. . Competition for Wijnaldum is likely to be fierce but as it stands Liverpool are front of the queue. With his contract set to expire in 2012 Feynoord will be forced to sell in the summer or risk losing the youngster for nothing.
