Despite earning £9m a year it is rumoured that John Terry is up to his eye balls in gambling debts. It was reported last year that Terry had mortgaged his house four times and currently has a mortgage with a value of £3.95m on it despite only paying £2.75m for the property in 2003. He is also believed to have taken a mortgage out on his mothers house to fund his out of control gambling problem. A series of inept gambles had left Terry in debt to several private bookies along with many high street branches. The ex England captain is part of a betting clique in the English dressing room including teammates Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney. The players are reported to squander small fortunes at a time on horses, dogs and football. He claimed to have given up punting on the nags but has been seen handing over stacks of money inside a branch of Coral bookmakers. It's just the latest in a long line of embarrasments for the player which include his father being caught dealing cocaine, his mother shoplifting, shagging the mother of his best mates kids and charging for tours of the Chelsea training ground.
