The Spurs manager had a £7m bid for the player rejected during the summer but is hopeful that the improved offer will see him get his man. A West Ham source added “The fact is the player wants to take his career on to another level at Spurs and there is no point in keeping an unsettled footballer.” With West Ham rock bottom of the table it's hardly surprising their influentially midfielder is looking to move on.
