Wilkins - "I was sacked unfairly"

Ray Wilkins has finally broken his silence on his sudden and unexpected departure from Chelsea earlier this week. It was a move that smacked of disrespect and showed the West London club to have developed little or no class.
"You have my back, ya Carlo?"
Could you imagine United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs etc treating a legend of their club like that? The answer is no. This move showed Chelsea still have not removed the small club mentality, maybe its because Wilkins was part of an unsuccessful history that he was swatted like a fly? Would England's Brave John Terry be treated like that in 20 years?

Now we have the unseemly business of Wilkins, the youngest captain in Chelsea's history taking legal advice so he "can reach an amicable solution" reiterating the he "was sacked unfairly". That Ancelotti claims he wanted him to stay but was to weak to stand up to his boss shows a weakness and frailty off the pitch that has been mirrored by his players on the pitch in the last few weeks.

Its a very much watch this space with regards to Chelsea I feel, their aura is gone. Birmingham away is a big test and you would expect a reaction from last weekends debacle. If the reaction is not forthcoming, there may be changes afoot at Stamford Bridge.
