Henderson To United?

There has been much speculation in recent weeks that 20 year old Jordan Henderson of Sunderland will be joining Manchester United, with Fergie on the look out for a creative midfielder Henderson fits the bill and is English to boot. The self confessed United fan today listed the 3 players he looks up to most as Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and the creaking David Beckham. A come and get me if ever I heard one.

Manchester City of course are also credited with an interest as they continue their pursuit of that first elusive piece of silverware in 35 years. Henderson seems like a level headed,  sensible young man so that should rule out City and the mawkish Roberto Mancini. The teetotal Mackem has been with Sunderland since he was 7 and I would not expect Steve Bruce or Niall Quinn to sell him on the cheap.
But I do expect to see him at Old Trafford next season.
