Jose Boswinga (5.6m) & Yury Zhirkov (6.2m) look like great value now that both John Terry & Alex are looking at spells on the side lines. Surely this is an opportunity too good to miss with Chelsea on top of the table with the best defence in the league.
With only one win in the previous five league games Man City suddenly find themselves with four winnable games on the trot. They face Fulham (A), Stoke (A), Bolton (H) and West Ham (A). One player who might be worth a look is diminutive playmaker David Silva, after a slow start he seems to be finding his feet in the English game with 19 points from the last four games and at 8.5m he represents value for money.
The fantasy player of the season so far must be Andy Carroll. The Newcastle hit man is currently the highest point scoring striker in the game and at 6m is a real bargain. He faces tough tests as Chelsea and Liverpool visit St James's park soon, with visits to Bolton and West Brom sandwiched in between. But who would bet against him striking again?
Manchester United are also about to start a series of winnable games with home ties against Wigan and Blackburn coming up. Trying to guess Fergie's line ups can prove rather tricky so it's best to stick with the more obvious selections, such as Nani, Evra, Ferdinand or Vidic. The rumour is that Wayne Rooney will return this week end for those of you who fancy taking a punt.
Arsenal are the form team in the league at present following five wins in their last six matches and with Van Persie returning from injury you'd have to instill them as favourites for the North London derby against Spurs this week end. It might be a smart move to play the waiting game before putting Van Persie into your side, especially with his strike partner Marouane Chamakh in such fine form with two goals, one assist and three bonus points in the previous two games.
